Backed by professional investors since 2013, Altigreen raised Rs.300 crore in its Series A funding round in 2022. We used the funds to significantly ramp up capacity, and entered the B2C space with a rapidly growing network of dealerships across India. Our ambitious growth plans include introducing fast-charging EVs, increasing our EV portfolio across multiple mobility categories, opening another factory in a different part of the country, and expanding our presence to other emerging markets.
Altigreen’s last round of investment in 2022 was led by Sixth Sense Ventures, along with Reliance New Energy, Xponentia Capital, Accurant International (USA), and Momentum Venture Capital (Singapore).
A former NASA engineer, Amitabh changed gears to realize his dream of making India an EV super power. He has in the past been the co-founder of start ups that include TriVium and Buzzintown and has over 29 years of business experience with leading MNCs.
He holds a Ph.D. (Computer Science) from UC Santa Barbara. In his free time, he likes to count every swing, as he unwinds at a golf course.
Designing and institutionalizing processes for radical improvements, Shalendra brings to Altigreen a rich experience spanning over 31 years in the areas of finance, business development, and manufacturing.
Before working towards his dream of an electric future for last-mile transportation, Shalendra worked at SBI Capital Markets, Deutsche Bank, Siemens Communications, and BCH Electric.
Lasse describes himself as goal-driven, innovative, and self-motivated. With an extensive background in leading safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations, he has over 19 years of work on engine controls of Ford, Mack Trucks, John Deere, Pacific Scientific, Aker Systems and DisTek.
John is an entrepreneur and an innovator with extensive experience developing electrical & mechanical hardware and winning systems engineering solutions.
He has over 22 years of experience in the fields of aerospace, military, and engines of Goodrich, Boeing, and Airbus. John has worked with institutions like Black & Decker, Pacific Scientific and UTC, before co-founding Altigreen.
A former software engineer with 32 years of business experience, Amitabh changed gears to realize his dream of making India an EV superpower. He has, in the past, been the co-founder of tech start-ups that include TriVium and Buzzintown and has worked with leading MNCs including TCS, Philips, NASA and HP. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara and has written extensively on EVs along with numerous technical papers.
With a rich experience of over 34 years in finance, business development and manufacturing, Shalendra co-founded Altigreen to envision an electric future for last-mile transportation in India. He has previously worked at SBI Capital Markets, Deutsche Bank, Siemens Communications, and BCH Electric where he was CFO for 11 years. A BITS Pilani alumnus, he also has an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad.
Lasse amassed 25 years of experience working on engine controls, before he decided to co- found Altigreen. He has extensive knowledge of leading safe, efficient and cost-effective operations at various companies. He has previously worked at Ford, Mack Trucks, John Deere, Pacific Scientific, Aker Systems and DisTek and has a Ph.D. in Control Engineering.
John had 18 years of experience in the fields of aerospace, military, and engines of Goodrich, Boeing and Airbus, before co-founding Altigreen. An entrepreneur and innovator, he has vast experience in designing, developing and testing high-efficiency electrical traction motors and
their electronic hardware systems and solutions. John has worked with institutions like Black & Decker, Pacific Scientific and UTC, where he was last their Discipline Chief Engineer. He has a
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering / Electromagnetiics.

Together they have a combined experience of more than 250 years in handling responsibilities across functions like production, sales and marketing, service and spares, QA, supply chain, vendor development, vehicle dynamics, power electronics, controls, and AI/software.
