As the demand for electric three wheeler cargo vehicles in India is picking pace, electric vehicle companies in India are coming up with models that charge quickly and require less downtime. The driving range of electric vehicles has always been a major cause of concern. Especially for electric three wheeler cargo vehicles, as commercial vehicles need to be on the road for long hours and require sufficient load capacity. Commercial electric three vehicle in India today have a longer range and at least one of them can now be charged from 0 to 100% within 15 minutes. Piaggio Ape E-Xtra:Charging time 3.45 hours. Range - 90 kms
The Piaggio Ape E-Xtra FX is an electric three-wheeler cargo powered by a 8 kwh battery pack. It can be charged from 0 to 100% in 3.45 hours. It offers a top speed of 45 km/h and a range of 90 km on a single charge. The vehicle can carry a payload of 506 kg.
Mahindra Treo Zor: Charging time 3.5 hours. Range: 80 kms
The electric load auto from Mahindra has 3 models. All the 3 models are powered by a lithium-ion 7.37 kwh battery pack, which can be charged in 3.50 hours. The electric 3-wheeler has a top speed of 50 km/h and a typical driving range of 80 km. It offers a payload of 550 kg.
Euler Hi load EV : Another regular on roads, the Euler HiLoad EV runs on a 12.4 kWh battery pack and takes about 4 hrs to charge fully. This electric three wheeler cargo has a range of 150 km with a top speed of 42 kmph. It can carry a payload of 688kgs.
Altigreen neEV: Charging time: 3.5 hours. Range : 151 kms.
neEV Tez- Charging time - 15 minutes. Range- 98 kms

The range and charging time were some of the major hurdles in the adoption of electric goods vehicles in India. Aggressive research and development in the field have put improvised electric 3-wheeler cargo vehicles on the road that require lesser charging time and promising a longer range.
